Toop Toop…Beep Beep

What is it with the French and Electro music over the past ten years they have dominated and been at the cutting edge with bands like Daft Punk, Cassius, Justice and labels like Record Makers.

I have used the Cassius – Toop Toop (Video Footage) above rather than the official video, just because it shows the creativity that goes into making a dance track….and guess what yeah they use guitars!

Plus its a good excuse to drop loads of French electro track’s and remixes for no good reason:

French social commentary or mindless yoot thuggery……you decide!

If you haven’t seen the 1995 classic French film La Haine buy it or rent it, don’t be put off by the subtitles its one of the most watchable subtitled films ever. This also tackles the social problems facing French inner city youth’s which have been ignored, causing flashpoint riot’s most recently and over the past few decades!

Social commentary and politic’s aside it contains the classic mix Cut Killer: Fuck tha Police which contains  KRS-One: Sound of the Police over the top of Edith Piaf: Non je ne Regrette Rien which is pure genius!

Apology’s Justice, but this clip doesn’t show what a superb piece of design there latest video is, a cross between the cinematic intro’s and outro’s on all your favourite films and shows.

It’s not there first classic video either check out the T-shirt homage: Justice – D.A.N.C.E  and a nifty remix by those crazy Canadian’s MstrKrft who need a few vowels from Carol Vorderman.
