I am not a great fan of this La Roux track.. the chorus is just weak. But then Iamxl popped this through our inbox and made it a proper popper. The bass drum is potentially lethal in the right hands.

Plus our man Iamxl gave us a load of additional remixes that we couldn’t pass on the post…. Instead we wanted to pass the tracks to you guys..

So much goodness hard to recommend one in particular… just get them all.

Couple of weeks ago me and some pals pitched up for the Casio Kids gig. So guess what ……the gigs were running late.

Time to sit down, hold back the small amount of excitement I’d being brewing for the show and just relax.

Nope, I had it all wrong… Picture Book showed up as the support act and mainlined straight to my pleasure processors..

Their set was somewhere in the region of 6 tracks and through it they dived around dubstep, jazz , electro and soul. Splitting genre atoms!

The guys on keyboards and guitar just smashed every track then when the singer pulled out her electric violin my mind was well and truly jammed high.

These guys are Liverpool UK based so time to represent the home town…. You must see these guys live.

These two guys come from Sweden and do that whole dubbed out punk disco sound.

Tiedye have already appeared on remix duties for DJ Kaos release thruoght Rong/DFA and have a single on release through the mighty Italians Do it Better.

There sound just feels like your favourite winter meal or that sweater you know you can always go to when everything else just isn’t working for you.

Now I heard about this Kanye and Mr Hudson project and I was like wtf… some altbro love going on.

I haven’t as yet heard the original but I’m guessing its pretty poor… thankfully Doorly makes a good job of flipping it with some heavy rave step breaks… which we always wanna hear about.

Catch Doorly at his weekly Ibiza night “Reclaim the dancefloor” every Tuesday at Eden. 2ManyDjs are gonna be doing 5 spots over the summer with other big guest like Boys Noize and Fake Blood making appearances.

The Australians , DCUP, are up to mischief with some 2k9 reworks of two classic disco jammers. They also included a bootleg of that Ultra Nate joint but I kinda hate that track so lets not talk about it OK! (in any form).

DCUP’s new EP , “Style”, is up for release soon June 20^th on Sweat it out, search for it at iTunes I guess.

Love getting tracks from Action Jackson. The guy just doesn’t disappoint.

There have been sooooo many remixes of Passion Pit’s “sleepy head” since the stems went out for remix competition(I seem to remember). This is a dam fine example.

Whats the point in remixing something and not really changing it up. Action Jackson has killed it by lacing this with a load of classic (i.e. in a Hashim/Newcleus kinda way) electro beats.

Get popping and locking… throw the lino down and wait for the chorus when the whole world swims in strings. Get Robotic!
